Father VENT!!!

Grrrr he annoys me sometimes. He keeps saying to me 'you know some people spend so much on a wedding and have no money afterwards to do things they want to do. Maybe you could do (whatever he was saying... i tuned him out at this point)
I'm his only daughter,and i want to be the belle of the ball for ONE DAY!!! i want to have my sort of big wedding!! stop trying to make it seem frivolous!!! ugh he makes me so mad!!

Oh please, if I had a dollar for everytime my father has said that in the 7 months I've been engaged, I could have afforded TWO weddings! It's just their way of saying, 'I'm a man, so I just don't understand anything when it comes to weddings.' No, but really, it's the 'logical' persons way looking at it. If I wanted to be logical about it, no I wouldn't want this big, huge wedding, but I want to be realistic, and I would regret it forever if I didn't have a big wedding. So don't worry, I know he doesn't mean anything bad by it. He probably REALLY does not understand.

i think most fathers feel that way. ive been pretty conservative with my spendng so i havent heard that yet(our top priority is a new house)
