Father/Daughter Dance

Original post by halfbaked

What songs are you ladies dancing with your fathers to?

I discussed with my dad the other day and he says he doesn't want something 'cheesy' aka too sentimental and he wants it to be a short song. LOL! We're both big Beatles and Billy Joel fans, but I can't really think of any songs by them that would be good for a father/daughter dance. Help me ladies! TIA!

ETA: What about 'She's Got a Way' by Billy Joel??

My BF used Lullabye with her dad and it is beautiful! I am using In My Life by the Beatles.

That's a good one!

We're doing Queen - You're my best friend

At one point, I was thinking about the Foo Fighters - My hero, but it would have to be an acoustic version (which i've heard and it's def good), but I don't know if the crowd would care for it and my Dad LOVES Queen, so there you go.

I'm using Father and Daughter by Paul Simon... my one concern is that its a bit long but our band is going to shorten it a little

I was gonna use this too but theres a part in the middle i'm not crazy about... thats a good idea though!

That's another really good one! I'm gonna run that one by him, too, though I think we're both liking Billy Joel! Thanks!
