My name is Michelle and I was thinking of dancing with my Dad to 'Michelle' by the Beatles. My Mom and Dad named me after that song, it was popular around the time I was born (I am 41). I thought it would be a nice way to, in a way remember my mom in our dance.
Or do you think this song is inappropriate since it is about a man professing his love to 'Michelle'

Re: Father/Daughter Song
I should mention, my mom died when I was 14, so I would like to include things about her at my wedding.

Re: Father/Daughter Song
It has special meaning. I say go for it...
As for a memoir of sorts for your mother, I am leaving some chairs empty during the ceremony and leaving a single white rose on them to symbolize our grandparents. That way, they are there in memory. You can also have a picture of your mother on a table during the cocktail hour, like a friend of mine did. She also made a donation to charity (which was her favor) that her relative worked closely with.

I don't think it is inappropriate. Maybe the DJ could preface it with a story about why it is your song.

I would 110% go for it. It has a million feelings for you guys. I think that it's great because you really tie everything in together. Now, I will go cry because that was touching. I'm a dork.

i think thats a really cute idea!!! i def dont think its innapropriate bc he is just saying he loves her, not saying anything sexual or nething.
