We have a 175 minimum....and are doing favors for every couple. Is 100 enough, or am I cutting it too close?
I'd rather have more than less....
Whaddaya think?

Re: Favor count - HELP
Well do you have alot of singles or alot of families with young kids? ( meaning you would still only give 1 favor even if they bring there 3 kids)
We are having 150 and I am doing 80 favors. I bought extra wine stoppers though to give to people who sent us a gift but cant attend.

Re: Favor count - HELP
it's sounds like more then enough if i'm doing my math correctly. you have 175 people and you want 1 favor per couple so you should be more then fine -
actually wait - how many did you invite? or is the 175 YOUR minimum that you want to invite or is it the halls minimum??

Singles at the wedding should probably be at a minimum....maybe 6 people coming alone? And we'll only have 2 cpuples with kids there as well.

Re: Favor count - HELP
I think one for every couple is good, and if there are families with children, one for the parents and maybe wrapped candy bars for the kids?
I really like the idea of sending a favor to the ones who couldn't make it!

Thanks We are doing bottles of wine and the wine stopper for the wedding but I figured its a nice gesture and the wine stoppers didnt cost much... plus they are small and easy to send in the mail

Hey Jenn!
I have 110 as a minimum but we are inviting about 180. So I planned for 100 favors. I was told that if people don't attend but give a gift they should get a favor as well - so I want to have some available. I say error on the high side (just not too high $$$).

Re: Favor count - HELP
Well, we guaranteed 100 and are inviting 130 BUT we also have a lot of singles as well as kids. Some kids are old enough where they may want their own favor instead of the entire family getting just one. So, I'm making (crafty, huh? ) 100 to leave room for some people that don't attend but send a gift as well as the singles/kids.
As like many said, you'd rather have too many versus not enough.

I wouldn't order favors until you know the answer to this. If everyone comes, you will need the same number of favors (and TY cards) as you did invitations because presumably, you're giving one per couple (one invitation) and one to anyone who's single (one invitation). You have plenty of time for the favors, I wouldn't stress something like this 11 months in advance.

Robinella reminded me of a good point. Not all guests take their favors. Im guilty of this . I think 100 is fine. You'll have a few left over.

Thanks again!

Re: Favor count - HELP
My name is Marianne, and I am the owner of Magical Favors in Smithtown, NY. If you go on my web site, you can see a variety of ideas. there is also the idea of an espresso cup for each of your guests filled with perugina Baci's and wrapped in white tulle. LEt me know what you think, and don't hesitate to browse my site. I have all imported favors from Rome and other areas of Italy. Thanks
