Favor distribution - your opinions wanted please

Thanks for reading this and hopefully you gals can help me decide what to do.

FH and I have a few ideas for favors but they are pretty big (wine bottle, cruet set, etc). We are doing one favor per invitation. Here's my dilemma do I put the favors on the table, which means some tables might have 5 (1 for each couple) or some could have 8 (couples and singles). What I'm worried about is everyone getting what's theirs...
So I was thinking of attaching the place cards to the favor, this way everyone knows who's getting one. Your thoughts?
p.s. - I'm also having low centerpieces, I'm using tulips so I don't want them to be overshadowed by the favors.

I am having the same dilemna..... I will most likely be attaching the place cards to my favors so that everyone knows who gets what (since my favors are not pp but per couple).

You can attach the place cards to your favors and have them set up on a separate table so each guest can pick it up as they walk in. This way they definitely know that the favor is theirs.

we are (so far) planning on doing CDs. and one of the girls attached a vellum wraper/sleave as their place card on the cd. I liked the way it looked, and it does ensure 1 per couple.

i would attach it , but i would place the favors at the tables and have a master list at the front door to let everyone know what table they are sitting at. if you leave the favor & place cards at the front table some of them by start to walk on their own. some people would take the bottle and leave the tags. this will cause a problem.
