Favor Help

How much are you supposed to spend on favors? I almost feel like not doing them but I know it's the 'right' thing to do.

What is everyone doing? I want something different but am at a loss.

We are doing xmas tree ornaments. They were $125 for 100 ornaments at Crate & Barrel.

Hi Monkeybride - we 'met' the other day on another board, remember? I have the same name there.

Anyway...

I dont think theres a hard and fast rule on favors, or at least in my opinion it depends on your budget. I am sure you will get plenty of good ideas here or ask the girl on TWP board tomorrow!

I am not sure what I am doing yet by the way. Possibly place card frames. I know its been done a million times already but I feel that my guests would actually use them.

I think you should spend whatever you feel you can afford to spend. There are no rules!

Re: Favor Help

My sister spent $5/ I am looking to spend about the same I think, I don't know there is never really a right thing, whatever you can/afford to do is perfect. Even something so simple but with a heartfelt note from you two. I once read that a couple used hugs and kisses hershey kisses in an organza bag and wrote hugs and kisses from the new mr. and mrs. how cute?

we did photo albums with a silver frame cover to them. I got them at Fortunoff at their silver sale for 25% off, so they were under $10 each, plus Fortunoff gift wraps for free! They were very nice!

beau coup has some nice ideas (but you may be able to put together something similar for less $$ on your own)

Re: Favor Help

We founda good deal for heart shape bottle stoppers on www.wrapwithus.com. They're $1.79 each and we're giving one per couple. I feel like it's kind of cheap, but they're cute and useful, so it shouldn't matter how much they cost. We're also going to do little things that all add up, too. We're going to do the rose petal toss, cry packets, slipper basket (for tired feet), programs and chocolates. I think that should be more than sufficient.
