Favor Help FH & I....

Hi Ladies...

Future hubby & I are need a little help...
Both of us originally agreed on a christmas ornament for our favor... but then I showed him something else (stupid me) and now he loves this idea... choice # 2

original choice:
Christmas ornament will be like the picture or
FMIL and I have an appt with
Yellow Cottage Crafts for a custom christmas ornament as our favor... I will let you ladies know how that goes... (next weekend is our appointment I am very excited)

2nd favor choice will be an engraved mug saying:
'I went to Christine's & Chris's wedding and all I got was this lousy mug' With our wedding date or year... + a packet of coffee and/or a packet of tea inside the mug and possibly homemade biscotti....(I LOVE to bake, it relaxes me so I am planning on baking the days before my wedding anyhow)

Which one would you like better if you were coming to my wedding?

Well... I gotta say the Mugs b/c something like that would be more useful to me since I'm Jewish and no Xmas tree. Although I do have ornaments people got me as gifts... no biggie.

I think if u can afford it, the 3rd choice is awesome! But typically, a favor is 1 per couple...

Also, If you are having jewish guests or people who dont celebrate xmas, an ornament will be kinda weird for them to get...

I love the idea of an ornament though! I love ornaments

I love the mug idea. My FH were thinking the same thing with the ornament but as one of the other girls said we have Jewish friends and family what are they going to do with it? But I think its a great idea.

IMO, I wouldn't write '..... and all i got was this lousy mug' on it.... It's your wedding! Try writing something sweet
We're putting our monogram on our mug, and a cute quote about friendship & coffee.

Maybe a cute friendship quote do you have any to share? (we were thinking of putting the lousy mugh quote thought it was funny) I just thought people would not a mug with our names and date on it!

I like the mug idea because last week i went to this store called 'wedding things' they have such great things. They had this big brown and blue coffee mug that was very pretty and had a design on it and these packets of gourmet hot chocolate inside of it...Here is a pic, the hot chocolates are the same but in the store it was in a different mug that was soo pretty

Actually this is very similar to how the mug looked but blue with brown instead, and it was a little bit bigger, also came with the plate

i love the mug idea too. I like the ornament to, but think your guests will get more use out of the mug.

I love the mugs they can always have them and when they use them think of you. Ornaments you only use once a year and not many people will probably notice them.

I dunno, I don't really love the ornament idea.... sorry! I guess it's becuase not everyone is Christian, your wedding isn't in december, and I honestly can't see many people outside of your immediate family putting it up....

Now, on the flip side, everyone needs mugs. At work, at home.... great idea.
