I am thinking of making these into favors by putting two Petits Fours into the silver gable box and putting a label on.
The whole thing would cost around $400 to put together.
To clarify- this is what a Petits Fours is:
Your guests will love these moist, dainty and delectable petits fours which are perfect for your wedding reception, bridal shower or anytime you want something truly different and special. A delightful collection of 88 dainty bite-sized cakes decorated as little pastel packages.
Assortment includes:
Raspberry Flower: Vanilla bean buttercream and raspberry puree filled almond cake finished with pink chocolate and a lavender flower.
Apricot Flower: Vanilla buttercream and apricot puree filled almond cake finished with white chocolate and a pink flower.
Pineapple Flower: Pineapple puree and vanilla creme filled almond cake finished with yellow chocolate and a yellow flower.
Truffle Flower: Bittersweet truffle cream filled chocolate cake finished with lavender chocolate and a white flower.
Strawberry Flower: Strawberry buttercream filled vanilla cake finished with pink chocolate and a yellow flower.
Lemon Flower: Lemon buttercream filled with vanilla cake finished with yellow chocolate and a lavender flower.
I did something similar for my engagement party. Otherwise I would have done it for the wedding. Who doesn't like chocolate. Very cute!!!

Re: FAVOR IDEA-come take a peek
I used to work at a country club and I worked a lot of weddings- definitely go with food /drink favors-those were always taken or eaten right there. I can't tell you how many favors that weren't edible were left on tables, no matter how cool they were. For some reason, people like edible favors better!
I think they're really cute favors. Just make sure you can keep them cool- you don't want them to melt and get ruined (happened to a friend of mine- so sad!)

Re: FAVOR IDEA-come take a peek
i didnt vote- but i love the petit four idea i just dont care for your packaging idea
i think you can use a clear box with a nice ribbon- those are too cute to be wrapped up and hidden

That isnt such a bad idea, i am not 100% committed to the packaging. Thanks!

IMO favors are a way for guests to remember your day. If you have edible favors that kind of defeats the purpose. I could more see spending $400 on something that might be useful for your guests to take home.

Sorry. My point was the heat factor possibly melting or spoiling your treat.

Not a problem, the reception is indoors and this is what the website for the cake says:
Store Party Package Petits Fours up to 45 days at constant room temperature @ 68 to 72 degrees. Or up to 90 days refrigerated @ 45 to 47 degrees.
