I want to put together my favor boxes this weekend to get one of my DIY prpjects put to bed. I'm doing wht favor boxes tied with ribbon, and inside will be a note about our donation and some hershey kisses. Question is, if I do the boxes this weekend, will the kisses hold/melt by 6/23? Will they stay 'nice' in the box for the next three months?

Re: Favor Quest (Re: Storing Chocolate)
I would wait until you get closer to the day. Maybe the week before. You just don't know what will happen to the suckers when it starts to get hot! :( Unless you have Central Air and it'll be on and you know they won't get ruined.
I think it's better to wait though

I did something similar with the chocolate in boxes tied with ribbons...I assembled mine in December & January...Considering we are going to be getting into the warmer months, just make sure you keep them in a 'cool' place! Just think, the chocolate will not go bad, you knows how long it sits on the shelves in stores!

We're going to store them at my mom's - they have central AC so it should be OK. They also have an empty running fridge in the garage - should we keep them in there?

The chocolates should be fine as long as they are kept at a consistent temperature. Don't freeze them and then let them cool off because you can bring the oil to the top and they can turn white.
