My mom went to a wedding last night (her best friends nieces wedding) When she was saying goodbye to the bride and groom, she was handed a big box. She said she noticed that not everyone got this big box. She said that they were selected people who received this extra favor. When she got home she opened it and it was a cake. A big cake (20-25 people). She called her best friend and she told my mom that it was only for the closest friends and family. Is this the new thing????
Has anyone seen this???

Re: Favor Question
Never seen that done. And honestly I wouldn't feel right giving special favors out in front of everyone. I would find a different time to give them out so other guests wouldn't feelleft out.

Re: Favor Question
That sounds kind of wierd. I would feel strange giving out extra favors in front of everyone like that. Although, we are giving out centerpieces and have to come up with a way to do that. I have these really pretty and expensive sandcastle candle holders on the tables that I got a few years back from Party Lite Candles. I am going to make sure I get one as well as the moms and the girls in my bridal party. I am not sure how we will distribute the rest yet. Never heard of giving whole cakes though. I heard of people taking slices of cake home, but that was for everyone.

Re: Favor Question
Nope, never heard of this. They should've told people it was a cake though! lol Imagine if your parents just threw it in the back seat?!?

Re: Favor Question
I really don't agree with that. If I was a guest that didn't get the special gift, I would feel very left out. All of the guests came to spend their evening with the new bride and groom and I assume gave nice gifts too. I don't think a select number of people should be more deserving of something extra in this case

Re: Favor Question
If it was an actual extra favor that would have been cool.. But who wants a random 'extra' cake! WEIRD!
