Anyone that has ordered their favors already, did you order extra and about how many? I feel like I should order extra...just in case. Is there a recommended percentage?

Re: Favor question
Ooh, see you think that many, huh? I was going to round it off and add like another five which would make it around seven more. I guess another question is do you send a favor to everyone who doesn't attend but sends a gift. Maybe I should add at least ten more then. Thanks, Helen.

Re: Favor question
FH and I ordered ours a while ago.. They were on sale so we just bought them.. To buy in bulk the way we did they sell for 125 or 150 ect. so I thought 125 might not be enough so we ordered 150 for just incase... We have a 360ppl guest list so I just thought that would be enough.

Re: Favor question
We have 180 favors for ~350 people, so that makes 5 extra since it's one per couple. We are not expecting 350 but that's our maximum that might come.

Re: Favor question
We should wind up with 150 guests - one per couple so we need 90 - guess I'll order 95.

Right, I was figuring max of people invited, even though not everyone will attend and figured I'd add five more. I don't mind having some extra, but don't want too many. Thanks!

I guess it's up to you and depending on the favor. I was planning to do one per couple. I'm also planning on doing a donation, so I was trying to find something inexpensive to give as well. Thanks.

Re: Favor question
ti be honest I order about 30 over those I knew I needed that rsvp
I did wine bottle favors & to be honest I am so glad I did!
There were a quite a few people that did shower gifts & wedding gifts but couldn't attend the wedding, so i wanted to be sure that they got a bottle of wine as appreciation of their kindness. Plus I wanted some extras for me so i can have it during some our anniversaries. Hopefully I will have some more left, I have only 7 left out of the bunch!
If you have a popular favor you may want to order more, if it consumable, lil wine or etc. just because even if it wasn't a favor people would want it.
But it is a personalized favor you do not have to go soo much overboard on the extras, & especially if you are not planning on sending to those that couldn't come.

Re: Favor question
oh and to calculate number, i actually had a running total of those I knew or figured would rsvp yes to the wedding. I adjusted it as rsvps came in & ordered it after I knew I had a good rough number of yes' to work from.
hope that helps

Oh, well you can never have enough wine...ha. We're planning on sending to those who don't attend, that's why I'm making sure to at least order the max on my list. I'll think about it a little more and decide. That's why I didn't order them today, otherwise that would've been another check off my list.

Re: Favor question
I think it depends on your favors and how far ahead you need to order them. I did wine bottles and the liquor store assured me they had plenty, so I waited until I had most of my rsvps and then figured out how many I needed. I only needed about 70 but I ended up getting 8 cases so 96 bottles because I know my mom wanted to give a few out to her friends who weren't invited.
So I ended up with a whole case of 12, but its wine, you know? I'll definitely use it all up! If it was a candy dish or coasters though I wouldn't be so psyched to have a lot leftover.

It's a ceramic olive oil bottle with roses in the front. I think it's pretty and I feel like it's a little different. And, with two Italian families, I think that's something that people will make use of! lol: I don't mind having a handful extra, but really don't want to end up with like 25. Like I said, I agree, wine you'll definitely use and it's not something that really goes bad. Thanks Sil.:

Re: Favor question
we DIYed our favors and got supplies for extra, just to be safe (and also because we couldn't order, say, 134 -- it had to be in round numbers)
we're going to give favors to some people who gave gifts but couldn't attend, and it's nice to have spares.
better to overestimate IMO

I was estimating one per couple. I sent 88 invitations, so I rounded it out to 90. I was thinking I'd order 95. Right, we're planning to send to people who may send gifts but won't be attending. I agree though, I'd rather have extra. Thanks, Jen.
