Hey guys! So as you may know, I am currently living in Ecuador (my mom is from here and FH is from here). I was thinking of doing a favor that has something to do with Ecuador. I like the idea of edible favors but figure it would be kinda hard to find something that I can bring from here that won´t go bad.
They sell liquor here called Espiritu del Ecuador (sprit of ecuador). It´s a fruity liquor in a small bottle shaped like the monument that they have at the equator (they call it the middle of the world) It doesn´t really go with my colors (i´m thinking blue for now and something springy maybe butterflies if I can find a way to make it look nice and not too girly)
On one hand it seems like the best of both worlds - an edible favor (or drinkable) that comes in a container that can also be a decoration. But part of me doesn´t like it. I can´t put my finger on why. It may just be that I´m not used to seeing it.
What do you guys think? (i´m trying to post a pic - hopefully it works)
if you really arent set on it keep looking! i think its a nice favor if you really want to incorporate ecuador some way.... why not ask around there and see what people give (if they do)...

i really like this idea. maybe its the color or something you dont like about the way it looks. What if you put it in a bag or little box with a pretty personalized favor tag on it?!

Maybe you´re right. If I dress it up maybe I´ll like it more. In theory I really like it. There´s just something off.
I called the manufacturer and they are giving me a call back today with the cost. Hopefully it´s within my budget. (Buying it at local gift shops isn´t )

i think its a great idea and would wrap it in a pretty box or bag with your color and/ or theme.
If you really dont like the idea what about doing candy or cookies in the shape or flavor or something of the country (sorry im not so familiar with it) or do candies in the colors familiar with Ecuador in a pretty box.

I think that is a great idea if you want to involve your home country! Also, I agree with the other posters. Put it in a bag or with a tag that will tie the favor into your color scheme.

I think its a great favor, I like when favors have a personal touch like that.
You can always wrap it in your colors!

ITA.....if you figure out how to dress it up a little you will prob be super happy w/it. I know I would if I were you!

I LOVE THE IDEA!!!! MAYBE wrap it in some blue tule or something? you can definately work with this...and i know for sure i would MUCH PREFER this favor to a chotchkey that matches your wedding colors but really has no other use....

I love the idea!!!! Maybe after you put a cute favor tag on it, you might like it a little more but if you don't LOVE it then maybe keep looking.
