Favor question?

Favor question?

I'm getting married July 3rd...I make soy lotion candles and I'm planning on buying the tins with personalized labels from oriental trading...and then making the candles in them.

Do I need to wait to find out exactly how many ppl are coming to order? I want to order and make them NOW!

Also, what are you girls doing? One favor for each couple or one each? my mom said just one per couple.

TIA!

I was going to do one her couple, but then I thought about it...

If you place them on just a table and you have ppl take them some people wont know that you only have 1 per couple...

Then I was thinking about putting it infront of their plate, but then you have to figure out how many couples are sitting and one table and how many single people are sitting at the table.

So to avoid all confusion Im just getting 1 favor per person.

You can estimate how many people you're expecting and order now. That's what I did.

I'm doing one per couple and having them handed out as guests leave.

I´m thinking about doing something I saw online. You do it one per couple and you put them on the place card tables. I´ve seen it a variety of differnt ways ie: place card tied to it, stuck to it, in front of it, etc. For instance one was a wine bottle where they put a label with their wedding date and the seating info.

As for ordering them you can probably estimate and start now. Although I would estimate a little higher. Its better to have some extras than to be missing some. You can either keep the extras or give them to vendors, etc when you give them their tip, or just have some people take extras.

well you cant wait till you know final number cuz thats like less than a month before the wedding so really cutting it close... i would order a little more than how many you expect to come and definitely pad that number in case more show up than you expect!

were giving one per couple

Oooooh, I like this place card table idea!!! I haven't even started thinking about this yet, but this is a cool idea... esp with the wine bottle!!!!

So far as one per couple, or one per person, I think it depends on what you're giving. Candles is fine either way. If you want to save money (and time since you're making them), go for one per couple.

Tins like that (what I'm picturing at least) could definitely be labeled with table number, etc, and you could do that for the escort cards!!!

Usually its one per couple but Im doing one per person bc some people are bringing dates that they are not really dating. I ordered my wine glasses already, I ordered the amt of people that are invited if I have left overs great! I can use them myself!!!

I am doing 1 per person but I am also doing mini wine bottles. If I was doing full bottles it would be 1 per couple

Re: Favor question?

i think it depends on the favor whether you do 1 per person or 1 per couple.

smaller favors and edible favors i thin should be one per person

larger favors should be one per couple.

we are doing cookies from the sugar chic so we are doing 1 per person

Re: Favor question?

thanks, everyone....i guess i will have to figure on getting one per person, I really wanted to put them on the tables....money-wise, tho, i'll consider how to do with seating cards, that's a great idea, too!!!!

Re: Favor question?

I would stick to ordering 1 per couple who's being invited, not based on the rsvp yeses. Some people may not come to the wedding but will give you a gift and you may want to then give them a favor as a thank-you, esp if they see you in person.
