LOVE (and still do) Are You My Mother? I wanted it read over and over and over again.
funny story: My best friend and I got caught reading Forever by Judy Blum in 8th grade English class. Talk about horror! The teacher figured out the book had been read by 1/2 of the class and decided to have a 'discussion' about the book for days. OMG. 8th grade girls and boys being forced to own up to reading that book. You should have seen our faces and heard the comments in that class

I would have to say.... Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss - that was so me! Also, most of the Judy Blume books! I read Forever in 5th grade - talk about not having a clue what was going on in the story - I had no idea what the fuss was until a few years later

The cocoa colored bear who would not comb his hair.
Loved, loved, loved The Monster at the End of the Book! My niece and nephew have it-we read it whenever I babysit. They do the same thing that my sister and I did as kids...they yell no! no! don't turn the page!!!
In fifth grade, one of my friends was caught with Forever. When her mom asked where she got the book she blew the whistle on me. Our moms got us all togther for 'the official sex talk'.
I just re-read A Wrinkle in Time, and liked it just as much as I did as a kid.

I remember enjoying the Beverly Cleary Books with Henry & Ramona, the Little house books and of course Judy Blume. Her books were like a hand book to being a teenage girl.
