Ok, I have some of my favorites. Yet I want to know what is everybody elses and why. I am a beginner of sorts and so is MIL in the scrapping world and don't want to waste my money on products that are not worth it.
Plus, I would love to give a scrapping present to MIL for christmas....what would you suggest?
If something is not on the list, please just reply. I want to give her something special that she will love. Plus buy myself some goodies! I have to give my self a b-day gift!

Re: Favorite Scrapping Products?
Why not get her a new album w/the first page already made - maybe a picture of her when she was a teenager... she can start an album about herself?

My favorite tool is the Perfect Layers System (exclusivly from QVC). It allows you to perfectly matt any picture, tag, etc that has straight edges. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!!
Other then that, I like having lots of papers to chose from. And anything that will allow me to sort and organinze my stuff is always appreciated (clear pencil case type things for pens, punches, deco scissors, etc).
I hear the CK Font programs are pretty good. Someone gave me a copy of it but I haven't done anything with it yet.
Sizzix is coming out with new alphabet sets that look good - I don't have a sizzix though.
All the items on your list are good but it depends on the style of scrapbooking. But since you are all starting out, the kits are a great way to get started. You'll probably have more then you need to complete an album.
I don't really use stickers and a lot of the frames may not be ones you would use with your layouts. I make computer titles & journalling so the sizzix alphabet doesn't even interest me too much. I refuse to buy a bag with wheels - I feel like it's the first step to admitting I have an addiction here. I can ignore the fact that the dining room is over flowing with supplies as long as I don't have a cart with wheels
Did I help any???

Re: Favorite Scrapping Products?
This is what I'm doing for my fMIL for Xmas. I'm making her a 6X6 book of her sons growing up. Title page is 'A Tale of Two Boys' it will have two page layouts for each of the following: their birth, toddler years, bar mitzphahs (sp?), High school graduations, college & PD grads, weddings and then I will give her a few premade 'baby' pages for the future grandkids. I think she's going to love it. . definately a tear jerker!

Re: Favorite Scrapping Products?
I am not a super scrapper by any means or even a 'sorta' scapper really but I got a digital scrapbooking program last year, took my Moms albums (I told her I needed the photos for my wedding video) and totally scanned every photo, then made a CD of the photos for my mom, dad, brothers/sisters. I also made each person a scrapbook using the digital planner and printed the pages on our photo printer. It was truly a special time for all of us to look at the photos and many of them, no one had seen it years.
