Favorite shower gift?

For those of you who have had your shower already, what was your favorite or most sentimental gift you received? For those of you who havent had your shower yet, what are you most hoping to receive??



Mine was something that wasn't on my registry...as much as i adore the 40' plasma my FMIL ans FBILS got us, my absolute favorite gift was what my mother gave us. Joe proposed in Bryant park in Manhattan and my mother had the picture of Bryant Park in the wintertime (not of us but an arial of the park) turned into an oil painting and it is matted and framed. I opened it and started crying. That was just so special and something only my mother knew i wanted captured in some way.

My Kitchenaid stand mixer from my BP!!!!!!!
and my laundry basket FULL OF CLEANING SUPPLIES!!! we have so much work to do on the basement im gonna use it all!!! lol

I'll answer 2 ways.... the registry gifts I would be most excited to receive are our dyson, and any of our pots/pans... we desperately need both. they are the only things we would probably use immediately rather than waiting until after the wedding

We had a low-key e-party, and as for the gifts there we have a few favorites. FH is obsessed with his mini deep fryer, and my grandma bought us the most amazing toaster oven, some kitchen accessories and our DVR!!!!

2 really thoughful non-registry gifts were a pizza-themed collection from one BM's mom (we've known eachother since we were babies) -- she got us a pizza shaped tupperware, cute pizza-shaped plates with pizza box designs on then, a pizza stone w/ accessories, etc. She knows how much I love pizza! The other was one of those photobooks you order online... it was from a coworker of mine who I had just met this past summer, she took amazing e-pictures of us in exchange for a painting I did for her, and she surprised us with a gorgeous book of the best pictures. We put it on display at our e-party

i have to be honest - the pyrex set that Heather, Kelly, Kerri & Jerri got me. We met for breakfast the morning of my shower & i was taken so back by the fact that they got me ANYTHING....

It was a lovely confirmation that they thought of me as good a friend as I knew they were becoming to me...it was the sentiment that meant the most.
