May 05 brides especially - have you gotten favors yet? What are you doing?

my stepmom is making truffles...she used to do this on the side, so she's pretty good at it. i pretty much just went with her offer because my Dad is paying for much of the wedding, and it saves money, and there are other things i'd rather be picky about (truffles are something i'd go for anyways), plus it gets her involved (she's great!) they'll be in a little white box with a lid and thin, monogramed ribbon.

As of now, we're making a donation and announcing the donation on a bookmark.

Don't yet know if the bookmark will be DIY or through a vendor.

We are going to do a donation too. I just am having trouble deciding on the presentation of it - a scroll, in a pretty box, etc

I really have no clue at all. I want to do them, but it's the one thing I really don't want to spend a lot of money on (only cause I don't have it).

We're doing a donation (which I'm excited because my job matches up to $350 so it'll be a good donation) and clear square boxes filled with jordan almonds in our wedding colors. We were going to do splits of champagne or mini bottls of wine, but a donation is so much more meaningful. Both our grampas have been afflicted with Alzheimer's in the past few years.

I wanted to do the CD's, but I would prefer to have a company do them. Unless I can figure out a way to make nice cases myself. Anyone who is doing the CDs....how are you going about them?

We picked something to go with our nautical theme. They are deck prism replicas that can be used as sun catchers or paperweights. In the old days, glass prisms were imbedded in the decks of sailing vessels to cast light to the decks below. We liked their history and thought they'd be unique. Let's hope our guests like them too!

We havent gotten them yet but we are having mini glass icebuckets with champagne bottle candles in them that I will made personalized labels for and have the glass bucket engraved. I have to find someone who has the buckets in the size I want. So far they have been all too big.
