Okay so Im not sure if the coaster favors (the ones that you can also put a picture in) I really love. Im so torn on this whole favor thing. I dont know if I should give a Christmasy favor (its going to be a Christmas Theme wedding). I was going to do ornaments....too expensive IMO. So my question to you...how many weddings have you been to where you didnt get a favor? Im thinking of just eliminating the favors all together??? HELP

I went to one wedding where they didn't do favors. I don't think anyone really noticed all that much. You have to do whatever makes you comfortable. But, if you don't see anything you're really loving have you thought about doing a donation to charity? This way the money goes to a good cause and isn't wasted on something you don't really care for

I am opting to donate to charity for my favors. My fiancee and I are both teachers and there is a history of colon cancer in my family....so we are going to donate to a children's charity and colon cancer charity. My thoughts were that I might as well spend that money on something good, that could help someone, rather than on something most people usually end up throwing away or breaking!!

I just thought about it and I don't think I have ever been to a wedding where there WAS NOT a favor... but I have been to at least 4 weddings where I completely and totally forgot to even take the favor.
Honestly - you are giving people dinner and alcohol and entertainment - I don't think the favor is a HUGE deal.
But you can go inexpensive and nice if you decide to do favors... my sister found these gorgeous glowing candles at a dollar store and used them as the favors for my baby shower. They were so pretty - I still have a few of them! Dollar stores usually have lots of incredible stuff!

I found the love coasters for about $1.40 a set from ebay. There are some great deals there. My mom found a really inexpensive vendor and is making baskets as favors for the shower. You can always make your own... you can do candy bars or CDs.
