favors

My engagement party is coming up in 2 weeks, it was suppose to be a small garden party in my backyard. My FH & I both have huge Italian Families, so it's gotten pretty big. Anyways, we're not sure if we should hand out favors and if so what? First, we came up with those candy bars w/custom wrappers (my mom doesn't like that). And my friend suggested hershey hugs & kisses wrapped in tool w/ribbons. I was hoping for some other ideas.
Thanks in advance.

I did bookmarks from
www.favorlady.com

I sent STD magnets with my STD cards. But both are really nice ideas.

Choclate is a pain to make in this heat and can easily melt.

Re: favors

My engagement party is based around a castle theme because he proposed to me in front of Cinderella's castle. .

For favors my mother and I are making castle shaped soap

Michael's craft store has the soap . .just melt it down in the microwave. . add color and a scent and pour it into a mold. . like the ones you use for chocolate and let them harden and then put it in a small cellophane bag and tie with printed ribbon. . .quick and easy!! make sure you put a tag or sticker on it saying it's soap or people will think it's chocolate and try and eat it!

Re: favors

We did not want to go overboard with favors for our EP. It gets expensve very fast. My sister made an assortment of different pink and white chocolate covered candies. She wrapped them in pretty pink celephane bags. Everyone loved them. I did something similar for her EP but I used purple and white instead since purple was her BM color.

Re: favors

Actually we did not have favors...it was a pretty informal party at my parents house...there was tons of food and dessert and people had a great time...I don't think anyone missed them, but I do love the idea of the STD magnets (I sent them in a card)
