Re: favors
i did mini cyrstal ice buckets! i hd the favor place wrap them in tulle, and a black ribbon w. our names & wedding date (i had a b&w wedding). The favors were costly though . . . But i've seen places for cheaper than what I've paid. I don't have a pic scanned in, I'll try and find one, but I SAW THEM A FEW MONTHS AFter the wedding for $11 ish, but I paid much more. Because their italian crystal. But their so cute, and people will actually use them.
It IS hard picking out favors, cause simple inexpensive things, people WILL throw behind a drawer, and not use, but if u surf the web, im sure u'll find something different & unique that people can use each day.
AH HUH! What about a cheese grader? thats very different & cute! ? ?
If you live in the Massapequa Park area or near there, theres a great favor/invitation place called FAIRY TALE AFFAIRS, they have awesome stuff! and tons and tons of books!
good luck!

my friend did that for her wedding, the glass LOVE ones....every one liked them
i am thinking about doing ice cream scoops since fh loves ice cream and we are getting married in july i thought it would be fitting, but like everything else i change my mind a thousand times before i make a decision!
My hairdresser did ice cream scoopers! They were a very nice and different idea, and something everyone will use on a day to day basis!

We also did the ice cream scoops, they were a big hit!!!
Now I want to go to a wedding and get those LOVE coasters, I think they're so pretty!!
lol. thats what i liked at first, but i bought a sample, and they water/sweat of the glass, dripped down, and the coaster just basically got all over the expnesive coffee table & what a mess! their cute , but also targeted at a more younger audience . . .

Re: favors
We did a 4 piece of Godiva Chocolate box with a personalized ribbon for each guest. A little expensive - but everyone took them - we didn't even get ours!
I understand what you are saying - if I get another candlestick holder or picture frame I will freak. Go for something edible - everyone loves that! One of the best favors I got was after a Saturday Night Wedding - the Sunday NY Times & a bag that had two bagels! Perfect!

Re: favors
We are doing the love coasters. I figure most of our guests are couples, and if they dont use coasters they may at least put them out as decoration and that is enough use for me

Re: favors
we did a donation along with the car magnets, wrapped in a box with pink bow-
or you could go the edible route, which is always good too!

Re: favors
I am doing mini crystal ice buckets and then I ordered mini champagne bottles to place inside. The champagne bottles are actually sparkling cider and are labeled with our names.

Yeah, we are thinking about doing cds as well.
We're doing CD's too. I made them for my friends wedding and they went over really well. I put a photoslide show on it to their wedding song so you could watch it on the computer or just listen to the cd in a stereo.
