Re: favors.....

My favors were CDs- I burned them on the computer myself, and scanned our picture onto them. They included our processioal and recessional songs, wedding song, cake song, and other songs we chose and had played at our wedding.

Re: favors.....

I think the CD's are a good idea. I didn't go with them bc they had just become popular and it seemed that's what everybody was doing. I made magnets -like for the refridgerator. I figured at least they will go on the fridge and get looked at and maybe hold up a note every once in a while and won't sit in the back of a drawer somewhere!

Re: favors.....

I got Mikasa Sunflower crystal bowls/candle holders. They are a decent sized favor too.
The bowl comes with a candle inside and besides that it can be used as a candy dish, or even a serving dish for food.....

Re: favors.....

I got a Mikasa candy bowl. I wasnt sure what I wanted as a favor so when I went to get them, I asked the lady what was popular. She said that mini ice buckets and candles are also very popular. Hope this helps.

Re: favors.....

I just received a beautiful gel candle as a favor. I thought that was nice. I've also received Mikasa candy dishes, and I liked that too.

Re: favors.....

Since my wedding is a block away from the Chrysler Building, I decided on these as my favors.

Not completely wacky but still a little different and a nice souveneir (IMO) of the wedding without being a ton of work or $$$.

I have always liked the CD favor even though its becoming very common. I think its very personal and fitting for a wedding.

Re: favors.....

I think I'm doing silver plated photo albums. They hold 100 4x6 photos. I wanted to give out something practical.

Re: favors.....

I once got an ice cream scooper! I thought that was a great idea. It was silver with a gold trim. Very practical i think! I also have seen tiny salt and pepper shackers that say 'made for each other.' That is cute too! My firend is getting married in April and giving out pear candles that say 'A perfect pear.' They are wrapped nicely. I am making a donation as my favor.

Re: favors.....

I am having an x-mas time wedding and couldn't decide between tree seedlings or a unique ornament, but then I found the most perfect thing...a combination of the two. It is an ornament shaped like a dove made of handmade paper with pine tree seeds embedded in it. After the holidays the ornament can be planted and will produce Austrian Pine trees. It is 100% recyled and biodegradable. Each ornament comes with a card that can be personalized and has planting directions.

Re: favors.....

The Best favor I ever got was a pic of me and my date which was taken at the actual wedding with a polaroid and put into a frame and we got it later on it the wedding and on the back of the frame was the couples name and date.

The most useful I think is candy, you eat it and its kind, dont have to worry about taking anything home and having any more chacca's around the house, who needs more dust collectors.

good luck
