Favors
I need help deciding on an edible favor. I'm definitely having my DJ do the CD thing, but I want something with sweets.
I love jordan almonds and most of my guests like chocolate. Initially I was going to get Hershey bars with custom wrappers, but the lady at my invitation store told me that I don't want that for my wedding (okay, nice for people to tell me what I want). So now I'm wondering -- what about buying some containers and filling them with jordan almonds and miniture chocolates with a custom wrapper in a nice box - although I think that can get more expensive than the large bars with the custom wrapper. I'm not sure what the hang up was at the invitation store, but it's not like the chocolate was the only favor - and I was going to add the jordan almonds somehow to it. Funny too b/c the invitation store offered Belguim chocolate - which I thought was pretty classy. Does anyone think these are cheesy ideas? I know the old saying 'it's your wedding do what you want', but I don't want to be cheesy either.
Personally, I have a dozen ice cream scoops, pie cutters and wine bottle openers from weddings/showers that just take up space. So I don't really want to do those things - they are too same old thing to me.
