I really want to do donations as favors... FH think we still need to give something which i agree with but i just cant think of something.. any ideas?

Breast Cancer and Either the American Heart Association (since both of our fathers and my grandfather) have had heart attacks.. or the lymphoma society not really sure yet i want to do 2 places

We are doing donations as well to the Leukemia Society in honor of my dad who passed away 3 years ago. But we are also doing small favors! We're thinking about a pint glass with a funny one liner...it's cheap and everyone uses glasses!!!

but i also feel the need ot give something small.. so although i dont' have any suggstions as of yet.. i''ll be stalking this thread for ideas.. i may do mini wine bottles.. like u said who doens't love liquor!!!

i was just discussing this last weekend with my FBIL!! he was ok with donations but said you need somethign extra....
he suggested mini wine bottles, chocolates... something small...
fh and i arent doing donations.. but FBIL's g/f was discussing when i get married....

I am doing a donation to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer foundation and I am giving all my guests a breast cancer pin attached to a card explaining the favor. It is in memory of my mom. You don't have to give anything to your guest if you are giving a donation. I am doing it maybe just to remind everyone to make a donation in the future on their own.

What about doing cookies with the logo of the charity on it? Look at my album or FM me for info on them!! You could do one cookie or two cookies per bag with an info card on the specific charity in it!!!

we are doing a donation favor to the alzheimers assocation. We are doing CD placecards, so it's sort of like getting a little favor.

you can also do frames for the place cards which can act as a mini favor...and doing candy bars or personalized cookies can be a little favor
the liquor although cute may not be good because of people who do not drink or are recovering alcholics (you never know) or also for guests who are not 21 yet...

I like this idea...we were thinking the same thing...The American Cancer Society has really nice scrolls that they print up for you, and we're going to have FH's mom's name in them...we were thinking about the little pins as well, just as a reminder...

we're doing this too!
do they give you the pins? are you just going to put the scrolls on the table? we'd rather give more to the charity than give small favors.

We're doing donation favors and we're putting our placecards in frames that the guests can take home... They're tiny, so they'll probably be left behind, but it's something.
