Hi all, Im new to this and well here is my story... My hubby and I have been best friends for years and we started dating and got married at City hall, it will be 5 years in 2008. We never had a real wedding because we had a fire and that set s back.... But now we are planning something small may be 175 people at Douglaston Manor in dec 2008.. Can we use mini bottles of wine per couple and stoppers for favors? this planing is new to me and we want to keep it low key price wise.. any suggestions? thanks..... any ideas on inexpensive ideas for anything please let me know..

yeah you can definitely do wine bottles and wine stoppers, no reason you can't...To cut down on costs just keep in mind that you can do just one of the favors if it comes down to it

are you sure, it wont be too cheap? im like the family party planner and always go over board but i have to keep it down now.. lol lol they just re did douglaston manor im not even sure what theme to go with.... ugggggh lol

if you could do it go right ahead, youre the one who said you want to keep costs down so that would be a suggestion, of course you can also cut back in other areas if you really want to do the both. You can do just the bottles or do both, theres no rule about this

Most likely it will be set up for the holidays since your wedding is in December. Do you have your BM dresses picked out yet? If you do, meet with florists and they'll work with things you like to help make it a beautiful wedding for you.

well because we already got married, im just having the fmily in the bridal party.. his sister , brothers and nieces and my sister and brother and nephews.. i just dont wanna go over board.. i thought somthing red or navy blue.. uggggh im not sure what to do.. should i do a christmas or winter theme? if so what kind of favors do i do?

noway im doin mini bottle of champagne as favors...
its not cheap at all..i like the idea of wine favors.

its your wedding, do what you like...Theres no color you HAVE to do or theme you HAVE to do, pick whatever you love best and is more your style.

That is def a great favor idea whether you do just the wine bottles of both. Two of my friends did the wine bottles and they looked great. Also don't go to crazy on a theme for your wedding. I got married in Jan and all I didi was made sure that all my colors went went with the christmas decor.

I think wine favors are great because everyone gets use of them, and again like everyone has said you don't have to do both

uggggh, thanks.. lol lol im not gonna do a big theme, maybe be just normal.. so the mini wine bottles were ok? were they wrapped? thanks i can use all the help i can get lol. i plan everything for everone else just when it comes to me im pretty simple..lol
