Have any of you gals ever gotten seeds or a bulb to plant as a favor? If so, did it ever grow? I had gotten one years ago, and it never bloomed. What else could you substitute? I like the idea of a plant or a flower, but how would you know if they would bloom?

I just got plants for a work event. I got it last week and there is already green growth. Waiting for the flowers.

I saw tree favors at http://www.arborday.org/shopping/gifttrees/ i am not sure if and how well they grow. but its an idea

i love the idea of tree seedlings. I think you can find them at idofoundation.com or something.
FH wont do it for our wedding...he said he doesnt want to look like a 'tree hugger'

i saw miniature pots of mums that were adorable. for a favor for a fall wedding, you could wrap the bottoms in tool and a ribbon and put them on your tables to make up the centerpeice. then, people can take them home AND you save money on centerpeices. just an idea =)
