LOVE the note card idea Hamptonbride did...My FMIL said the best favor she ever received was the ice cream scoop...

My FH and I had the same issue...I really wanted something people are going to use again.

We bought Stainless Steel Salt Shakers with Built in Peppermill (they are about 6 1/2 inches tall)...I LOVE THEM!!!!!!

We are also using www.discountmugs.com and getting shot glasses with our names on it and filling them with hershey kisses.

Re: Favors

I used lead shaped maple syrup bottles filled with syrup for our favors. We got the bigger ones and we did one per couple. They were a hit! Everyone loved them and nobody else had seen them before. I see you are having a September wedding, so the leaf shape would totally work! FM me if you want details.

We had our names and wedding date printed right on the bottles.

We're doing donation favors with customized cookies too...although I think the Hamptons photos idea is wonderful! Way to make use of your talent. :)

Re: Favors

We gave out personalized packs of playing cards (one per couple, and then per single, and some to kids, to keep the cost down).

The site we ordered them from is HERE.

They were great quality, and not one was left behind. We dressed them up in organza bags we got off ebay for super cheap.

Re: Favors

Would you consider doing a donation? DH and I chose to donate to Adelphi breast cancer in living honor of both of our Mothers. We also had our Fathers sign our wedding certificate. Bost sets of parents were touchedt. Favors can be extremely pricy. We've gotten wine stoppers, cookie cutters, syrup, pic frames, candles, wine bottles, cheese platters, ice cream scooper, cutting board, cookies, chocolate, but we loved the donations the best since it's $$$$ that is not collecting dust in a dresser draw.

Re: Favors

I am buying glass from discountmugs.com
I am having them personalized with our names and a heart. I feel it is something that is very useful... and that people will use it daily and remember the wedding. They have a variety of styles, though I am choosing:

http://discountmugs.com/usa/glassware-5139-libbey-pubglass.htm

When you buy 144 or more they are .71 each if the wording is in black... though shipping is high! It brings it close to $2 each. I feel it is worth it. I think I am going to just fil them with chocolate kisses and maybe stick a bookmark w/a cute saying on it in it (because I am a librarian). I hope this helps!!!
