So i was planning on doing those 'love' coasters as favors, but now im scratching that idea since i recently got coasters @ a baby shower and i have no use for them, they have been sitting in my kitchen for 2 months already still wrapped up lol i think it was Mazz too who said some people really wont have use for them, now i see im one of those people lol
sooooo what are you girls doing for favors? i want something practical that people can use.

something like this...espresso set..LOVE IT
i would love to do these too but the cheapest i have seen them is like 4.99 per set
well the set would normally be for a couple sooo 2.50 each isnt bad when u think about it!
if i want it one per couple how would i set them up on the table?i was planning on doing if it was 1 per person, one at each place setting, how would i do one per couple?
put it in between 2 place settings for a couple or right in front of setting if it is single... i really dunno any other way of doing it... im sure people are smart enough to catch on... LOL then again...
yeah but how will they know its still one per couple? hmmm i have to think of this...? maybe i can place them on a table and on their way out they can grab one, and i can put something next to it saying one per couple....or one per single person...?? i dunno
i would ask 07 and 08ers... they could prob tell u what they've done

Re: Favors
I was planning on a candy bar as the favor. I love the idea of the Endangered Species chocolate bars also. Or I might just do donations to different charities that I like.
Most of the items I have received at wedding as gifts have made their way into the trash. I think the statistic is that 75% of people throw them away. I recently read it somewhere but dont quote me on it.

I am not sure what we are doing. You girls are so organized! I love those fortune cookies. They look delicious! I am thinking of getting these. What do you girls think? The chocolate bars show different at-risk animals and 10% of their profits go to helping endangered species. I like the idea of giving candy and a donation at the same time. I am not sure about the price. It's $144 for 96. I think I would need just over 100 so I feel like it might be stupid to get two sets and spend all that $. Any opinions?
I think this is a great idea but I feel like 10% of the profits is a very low number, especially for how expensive they are. I would much rather buy regular Hershey's bars, make my own label and then be able to donate a lot more to charity for the amount you would have spent on the above ones.

We are doing a candy bar. I think that will be the only favor.
We are too. I was thinking to give out little baskets or those nice chinese containers so quests could fill them up...

We are doing the 12 piece expresso cup sets. We are only doing one per coupld. We have a big italian family and this is something I know they will use. For the eparty we are doing bottles of Pindar Winter White. We got a great price at Bottle Buys.

Re: Favors
I would love to do this wine to bring in the hot air balloon theme since we got engaged on one. I don't plan on doing a theme on that just wanted one thing to have it so this would be perfect. However, it's sold by my fiance's competitor (he works in the liquor business).
Actually i am going with the coasters since there were Fall ones and that is my theme. I am the exact opposite and could have used a coaster the other day lol
We're also going to do some smaller candy-type favors

Thanks for the response. I was kind of thinking the same thing but I love the little wrappers with the pics of the animals and the chocolate is organic! Haha. I'll have to think about this one.

I'm doing a homemade variation of these... bought the terracotta pots at the dollar store already painted with flowers... will be adding either seeds or planting herbs in them before the big day... my theme is gardens :)
