I'm having a really hard time deciding on favors. I wanted to do a charitable donation but FH's family made faces when I mentioned that this past weekend. They really do not like the idea. Also I'm half Italian and my family usually gives big favors. Any one know of where I could get favors for an affoardable price that would satisfy my crazy Italian family lol! TIA!

Re: Favors
I had thought about having my sister make her famous cookies and having that as my favor. Wrapping up in a box. One per guest. When I told my mom about it...she made a face!

Re: Favors
Kate Aspen has relatively affordable candles that are pretty cute. But if you have an Italian family, maybe do the almond thing? It's traditional and tangible, and can be ATTACHED to a donation card, so you can kind of kill two birds with one stone.

Yeah we are doing the confetti's(jordan almonds) already with a little poem. But thanks for the advice I'll have to check out the candles.

Re: Favors
I think so many 'traditional' favors are so dated. i like the idea of something the guest willo actually use: Bottle opener, Wine saver, or something edible and yummy.

Re: Favors
i also have a crazy italian family ...this is what i did for favors
there's a store amazing savings here in nj but i know they have them in ny...anyway, they have an aisle where they have candy dishes, picture frames, dishes, etc.
i found a really beautiful sterling silver photo frame album that i'm using..i'm having my uncle who is a photographer take a black and white pic of me and fh and putting that on the cover of the album and my mom and my aunt are wrapping and putting bows on it
try checking out that store, they were really easy to work with and gave me no problem when i wanted to order it in bulk

Re: Favors
Right now we're thinking of doing some type of food favors. I haven't really done much investigating besides ideas I got on Martha Stewart weddings, but I always like some type of food or drink you can enjoy the next day.
My FH's family is from Italy, I'm secretly hoping someone offers to make the bowtie pastries and we can bag them and give them to our guests. It would let us pay homage to tradition. Plus it would be personalized and cost effective.

I got shot glasses printed with our monogram........ I will put jordan almonds wrapped in tulle inside of it & then put everything inside a metallic brown box with a pink ribbon! total cost about $450 for 120 of them
We are doing the donation cards with either cookies or the cookie cutters attached
