For my favors I was thinking of giving out a half dozen bagels and the next days newspaper since our wedding ends at 1 am....im not sure how exactly to pull that off....but I know ppl have done it...any one have any ideas??
FH's cousin did this at her wedding. They had the place put a table by the door with the bagles in little bags...kinda like the little tiny apple bags you get when you go apple picking. And as people left someone on staff gave them one.
Do you know when the got the bagels? I dont want them to get hard

FH is soo stuck on having bagels and a news paper also when our guest leave .. i think we said we would do the day of so the date is the day we get married and then make a fake news paper page of all our info and maybe funny stories. and then i think i might have a friend coming to the wedding pick up bagels and bring them when they come to the reception. but when u really think about it the bagel place is not going to re make bagels for you so sadly it will prob be the bagels from that morning... i was thinking of doing mini bagels and then just go and get small cream cheese and small things of butter at costco and have them displayed also.. since its winter i also want to so a hot chocolate bar :)

i used to work in a bagel store and we did it all the time.
They do it at the end of their day and drop them off at the venue. The bagels stay fine and it's a super nice touch :)
I am doing this!!!! I am giving out some munchies for b-fast with coffee/tea in to-go cups for the ride home. I know there is a vendor (that comes in a lunch truck sort of thing) that you can pay to give out whatever food you want (ice cream companies like ben and jerrys and ralphs ices do this too). Additionally, on the newspaper note it adds up pretty quickly. The company I called basically told me it is the cost of the newspaper (no discount) plus and additional charge for their service and if you want the cover with your picture on it is even higher.
I've never heard about this before but it sounds pretty original. I'm sure bakeries can prepare bagel fresh in the afternoon specially because u're gonna order them for favors so at least they're gonna be doing 100.

check with your RH. WM just added a Take you Home cart. It has bagels, cream cheese, butter, jam, coffee, tea and Hot coco. They even give you personalized bags.
Since they just started doing this I would ask your RH. Maybe by your wedding they will have it.
