Favors - any ideas?

I still have to get favors for my wedding and I just don't have any idea what to give! We did picture frames at the engagement party and my bridal party gave out candles for the shower.... what else is left? I want to give something people will really like - and something useful. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!

some ideas

You can do candy, which is always useful. Maybe a Valentine's Day type candy. I saw one bride did silver ice cream scoops that were really cute and around $3.00 a piece. She wrapped them up in tulle with a small ribbon. A good friend of mine did sun catchers which I loved. I am giving out Vermont maple syrup in glass leaf jars (I am an autumn theme bride). Lots of girls are giving out custom CDs that they burn on their home PCs and make nice labels for. Bookmarks (www.favorlady.com) are nice because everyone uses them. I am giving out candy/carmel apples for the kids but some girls give those as favors. I love the idea of seed packets, but that might be better for a spring time wedding. www.ultimatewedding.com is an amazing site. The boards have girls from all over the World posting on them so sometimes you can get really unique ideas. I hope I helped a bit.

Winter ideas

I had so many ideas in my head before I got engaged about favors. My all-time favorite was the seed idea (I love to write poetry, so I had a poem all written to go with it), but I agree with Michele, that this is definitely more of a spring idea (and now I'm getting married in December). Although they do offer these pine tree like seedlings that come in tubes that might be nice. I think I will be buying plastic mugs with snowmen on the front that I found in a catalog and putting hot cocoa and hershey kisses in them. I will get ribbon made up with our names and wedding date and tie them to the handles. I am going for a winter theme, so there will be snowflakes, pinecones, and snowmen galore. I'm even getting a bride/groom snowman/woman cake topper! So the favor idea fits and it's inexpensive as well. Good luck!!

The sun catchers are a good idea. Any idea on where your friend got them from? Also how about windchimes? The weddingdept.com has them. But they are a bit pricey.

I'm doing Shot glasses and CD's. The Shot Glasses are very pretty and are printed with our names, date and a picture of a bride & groom kissing.

www.wrapwithus.com - For some ideas...

check out: http://www.wrapwithus.com They`re a local company, and were wonderful to deal with. I found their prices very reasonable, and our order came so quick, I couldn`t believe it. We ordered the little wedding bells, and placed one at each setting for our guests to use instead of clinking on the glasses. They were a huge success! For our favors, we did a donation along with a personalized CD. The CD was going to be just a gift for the wedding party and family at the rehearsal dinner, but we had so much fun putting it together, we ended up going ahead and adding it along with the donation. We really liked the idea of a donation, because we didn`t want to throw money away on something people wouldn`t use, so instead, we sent a nice chunk of change to an organization that is very special to us. Maybe the CD has been tossed in a drawer by some of our guests, but since it was a last minute add on, and we didn`t cut back on our original intended donation, we`re happy with our decision. And we received a lot of positive feedback for both the CD and donation. The organization we donated to sent us cards stating we made a donation in honor of our wedding guests, and on the back it had their mission statement. The front of the card was their logo. The cards were placed in envelopes, and addressed to our guests with their table assignments. The cards were then secured to the CDs with that elastic gold cord.
