Right, but...
While you idea is a great one, I think many people basically count on those gifts at helping to offset the expenses of the wedding.
We have put off our wedding for a couple of years so we would have more money to afford it, since we are basically paying for everything. Over that time, I can`t tell you how many times I`ve been told, 'Don`t worry about it, if you do it right, you should break even.'
Bottom line in terms of donations, better to do something than nothing. Right?
