It SOUNDS like enough - question is, can you get more if the unthinkable happens?

Re: Favors for 291 guests...
Someone brought up a good point a while back about the 20%... THink about who you are inviting and if they are mostly close friends and family, you might get 270. if a good portion are close friends and family and 20% aren't, then you might not have 291. I'm banking on 20% not coming, but the girl that posted that got me thinking...

Yes. I am assuming you are doing one per person. Do you have kids going to the wedding? If so give them something else to ensure that you have enough of the others.

Danielle's right, so far I havent gotten back one RSVP that was a complete no. All of my no's have been like parents that dont want to bring their kids and stuff like that. So you never know.

better to have too many than not enough... you don't want to be stressing about that right before the wedding.

I gave frosted big votives for my sweet 16 - and we had a lot left over - so we used some - and some people wanted 2 or 3 - so i happily obliged

I agree... and Jenn, if you're still doing the painted glass, you won't have any trouble getting rid of them or keeping them for yourself.

I think more is better, even if it means not using them all. I am not giving a favor pp, rather per couple. I am not sure what your favor is, but adding shipping into the order and stressing if you have enough, IMO, isn't worth it. How much of a financial difference is it going to make at this point? is it worth the worry? As the other person said, there are sights you can sell the unused items, if they aren't personalized. Other people would like maybe more than one if there are extras and you can give it to people that couldn't make it, especially if they give you a gift. I think being short leaves you in a mad scramble. IMO, I wouldn't bank on the 20%.
