When did everyone buy their favors & how did you know how many to buy?
My FMIL said to wait till we get the RSVPs so we have enough but my mom said now so I don't have to be wrapping them a week before the wedding. .

We did them before we got the RSVPs, we estimated and did one per couple.

If you want to be sure you have the exact amount you need I would wait until the RSVP's come in. Your RSVP date should be a month before the day so that will give you a month to wrap, I think that is plenty of time. If you want to get them earlier I would suggest that you order as many as you are inviting, and check the stores return policy so you can return the ones you don't need. This way you will be sure you have enough. Good Luck

Us too. We bought enough for 60 couples. We bought wine bottles from Pugliese and had them personalized with our names and date.

Just estimate based on your guest list... If you have extras (if people decline to come) send the ones who send you gifts the favor...

i have bought mine and my wedding is not until 2006. I estimated and bought the minimum.

I purchased my favors way before my RSVPs came in, but then again I had a A & B list and I knew that I would not go over my 180 minimum because I simply could not afford to . So I estimated based on that number and of course ordered a few extra.
