I have been talking to alot of people today and the consensus seems to be-- no favors. The people I spoke to all said that they did not care if there were favors or not, especially if you have placecard holders that double as favors. They said 99% of time they do not look at them again, especially if the bride and grooms name is on it somewhere, and people who have recently gotten married all agreed that if they could have saved money on one thing, it would be to eliminate favors.
I am on the fence. Any input ladies?

Re: favors or no favors?
I hate thinking about having to choose a favor, I'm at a loss. But the last 2 weddings I went to I got good favors: a small bottle of wine, and a silver wine stopper. Both very useful! I think the picture frames are useful too. Anything that's useful or edible won't be a complete waste of $$ and it's a nice gesture if you feel the need to have favors, and you have room in your budget.

Re: favors or no favors?
I am doing a favor and I know in my wedding people would notice that they didnt get one. Puerto Ricans, maybe hispanics in general are big on giving out favors. Never been to a spanish party where I didnt get one. Majority fo them are usless though I have to admit. So I am giving out shot glasses and mini bottles of bacardi Apple/Limon. It's about $2/person.
My sister gave out a CD with all the songs from her wedding and it was a big hit. Till this day ppl say I still listen to your wedding CD

Re: favors or no favors?
I am leaning towards making a CD of love songs, as well as a donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
