favors, photography and more

Hi Everyone, new to this site, but I can hope someone there can help me out. I am getting married this september(yikes) and am terrible at planning a wedding. I haven't got a photographer, video, limo, favors. The only thing I have managed is the site, rings, music, invitations.
For favors, I was thinking of going with those silver tins, that you fill mints w/ and write on top your names and date, and lace it with a bow. or a heart shaped cookie cutter attached to a sugar recipe(hope u guys know what i am talking about)
I really dont want to spend money on favors, but being that I have to, is there any favor stores, that sell for less expensive. I looked on thousands of wedding sites, but I want something where I can go in and look. The ones I went so for are really expensive. queens, suffolk, nassau, doesnt bother me, as long as it is worth it.
also any recomm on photo, video, and limo?

favors- have you looked at the local dollar stores? they have some of the favors that other places sell for double

HI! Welcom and Congrats!
I liked your idea for favors with the tins and candy. Shop around at dollar stores like butterfly20 said and you should be able to find them. I understand about wanting to touch things, etc.
I'm sure the girls on here will be able to help you 100%! Take a look at some of the threads with pictures, like butterfly's e pics. They were done by Patken and came out great! Just reading will help you out a lot. Good luck!

Hi and welcome! I was on the search for the best prices because we are on a tight budget for the wedding. We are also getting married in September. So far we got our invitations, limo, tux's and my veil at Mayfair Wedding Center in East Northport, suffolk county and they have been really nice and helpful. We booked Precision Sounds DJ on Jericho tpke. They are the dj for the KTU radio station. Our reception is at the Middle Island Country Club (exit 66 on the LIExpressway). They are VERY affordable and the nicest catering people i ever met. We booked our photography/video at the Wedding Center in Commack. We haven't had our wedding yet but so far these people have all been great. As for favors, we are burning CD's of our favorite love songs and wrapping them up nice ourselves and it was pretty inexpensive. Hope some of this helped!
