Favors have been a pain in my arse First we were going to only do truffles. Then we were going to so a small snowflake ornament and the Candy Buffet. Now we're doing a larger 'personalized' ornament and the candy buffet.
FH and I finally agreed on the ornament we are doing since he hated the original ornament I had picked.
This is what is will look like:
We're thinking it should be 1 ornament per couple/family but not sure if that's appropriate.
1 - Did/Are you giving out 1 per couple/family or 1 favor per person??
2 - How do you let people know that it's 1 per family/person?

What a gorgeous ornament!
We did one per couple! In our seating chart, we specified how many favors should go at each table.

Re: Favors - Questions
Looks great! Our favors doubles as our placecards so everyone knew not to take more than one.
We had small keychains in pouches. We tied the placecard around the pouch,
People will figure it out, I'd put the favors in between place settings...

1 per family. you can put a little saying on a tag:
An ornament to decorate your family tree at Christmas from the new Mr. & Mrs.
or something like that

Ok not to sound messed up but, if you're getting married after Xmas would your guests still have use for the ornament. JMHO. I dont mean it any bad way or to take away from your idea AT ALL. Just wondering.

people do it both way.
we are doing 1 per couple, but we are also have 200 guests approximately. it can get expensive if you are having a big guest list.
depends on the price of your favors.
Yours......i would do per guest.

People usually don't take down their trees until after New Years, so they can definitely go home and hang it up. And if not, then save it for next year with all the other ornaments. Either way, it makes perfect sense to have a Christmas Favor since it really IS a Christmas Wedding

You took the words right out of my mouth Rockys girl . I know tradition in my family and many latino families is to keep the tree up until Three Kings day.
Also, most favors don't get used right away or ever for that matter, even if they put it up the following year it'll be put to use at some point.

Yeah valid point, like I said it was not taking anything from the OP or any other brides getting married after the holidays. I know I went to a wedding and received an ornament post Xmas and quite frankly did not know what to do with it. My tree was down by the time the wedding came.
