ok, so granted we are not having a fancy rehearsal dinner but we have had a BBQ planned for the night before the wedding at my mom's huse now for 8 months !! FMIL just called to tell FH oh your brother won't be there friday night. Are you kidding me ?? FH took an entire week off for his brother's wedding and this is bull !!! Sorry I had to vent. FH is on the phone w/ hime right now and his brother is making excuses !!

Why can't he be there?
FBIL said he has to get his pay check and take care of some things at work...he is doing his Post Doc but has known about this forever. He also said it would throw off the baby's schedu;e. They have a beautiful 1 year old they could however leave the baby w/ the in laws ..where they are staying. Also when FH asked his brother about coming over the day if the wedding to hang out with him ..he said it would be difficukt for him to get here early ..11:30 is not that early. We also offered him one of our cars so fsil would not be onconvenienced driving him here w/ the baby...sorry ladies I just had to vent.

pick up his paycheck? is he serious? ok well im guessing he doesnt have direct deposit but even so, im sure he can talk to his boss and explain he has his brothers rehearsal dinner and if he can get his paycheck on thursday instead, many places will do this if you ask.

i am so sorry to hear that.. my BIL showed up late the night before as well.. DH took off and went out of the country for his second marriage.. BIL and his wife did not even ask us once if we needed any help and the day of, he was running after his in laws rather than helping his brother out to get ready and what not.. so don't feel bad.. some people just don''t value the people the way they should..

In this climate, maybe he's not entirely comfortable taking time off and asking for paycheck favors. Especially with a new baby. I wouldn't sweat it. This is all the groomsmen really do the morning of:

OMG - that is the best picture ever !! FH toyed with the idea of wearing a kilt because I am Irish and he thought this would be one time he could... I just don't want him to sit home alone on the day of once I leave to get ready.

I know how you feel. FBIL has been contacted in several different forms - text and email - re: a bachelor party for FH. FH's best friend is trying to get in touch with him and it doesn't seem to be working. best friend has a plan but isn't really DOING anything about it, and Fh keeps saying 'I don't care if I even have one.' I have to email FMIL now to tell her to tell FBIL to CALL THE FRIEND and get this moving. Fh is making plans with some people to go four wheeling and I said, well what if they are planning somehting? and he said, well they should let me know about it then.
I totally get you. Some FBILs just don't care they way they should ....
