FBIL is so annoying.

We're having a bowling after party at a nearby bowling alley. And we told everyone just to go straight there after the reception in their party clothes to bowl. We thought it would be cute to have everyone dressed up and then wearing bowling shoes.

FBIL has been throwing a fit every time it's mentioned. He doesn't want to bowl in his tux....who goes bowling in nice clothes...he doesn't even like wearing suits at all...he wants to change first....etc. He even is going as far as thinking about booking a room in a nearby hotel JUST so he can go change into jeans before he bowls. AND it's a rental tux, so it's not like he could potentially mess up his own clothes.

so annoying. just don't come...or change, and look like a fool because no one else changed.

I'm sorry that he's not going along with your vision, but honestly, is it really that big of a deal?
If he wants to change and 'look like a fool' let him. Your wedding will technically be over so you no longer have the power to dictate what he wears, you know?

I'm sure the situation would bother me too, I'm not saying it wouldn't... just don't let it get too far under your skin you know? It's not worth it.

yeah...i know. we already told him he can do whatever he wants. but he keeps going through the whole thing every time he sees us.

Some people just dont get it and dont care about anyone else but themselves!
As long as you have fun, thats all that matters!
