I'm having a cake topper made without FH knowing. I have never paid any attention to his helmet. What's on the front of their helmets? Is it the company in large print and then their shield # underneath in smaller numbers?
Can anyone find a clear, frontal photo of FDNY helmet? I'm having no luck.

From what I can see, their house number and rank (if any).
Some of them say FDNY where the rank should be.
ETA: This is an authentic helmet from September 11th, if they've changed since then, I'm not sure.
Dortoni's Bakery has a good pic of a cake they did that's a helmet... There's a black leather backing on the front with a patch that has the company number embroidered on it (black patch for an engine co, red for the truck), then their badge number appears under the patch I was just at my FH's firehouse so I got a lesson, lol... Didn't think 2 take a pic of one, though. Hope that helps a little
