I think it depends. Generally, loved, but I think in work sometimes it is better to be feared. My father is the president of an organization and has the 'My way or the highway' sign hanging in the office...He is definitely not loved by his employees, but he does have their respect.

loved. because people would be nice to me because they like me, not my power or authority.

Loved...you catch more flies with honey!
Although, come to think of it...who wants flies?
But, loved! Definitely, loved!

Re: Feared or Loved
loved. why would i want anyone to fear me? there is definitely a way to be repsected without being feared. the two dont have to go hand in hand. besides, i have so much love to give, i want it in return!

Re: Feared or Loved
I'm the odd one out. The choice reminded me of a question I'd read before - when you die would you rather be feard/hated and remember or loved and forgotten.
I don't want people to fear and hate me - and since I'm not (feared), I wonder what it's like.

As a professor I have found that it's good to be feared at the beginning of the semester and then later on in the semester it turns to respect/love. (Either that or they drop out or I toss them! LOL)

Would you rather be feared or loved?
Why?
I know i am both. the people closest to me fear me the most but they also love me the most. i think because i dont hold back with my opinions. But i usually am like this because i care so much. i dont think that makes sense but that is the way i am. im very over protective.

Definitely loved. Fear is a negative emotion, I don't think much, if any, good can come out of it. If I were a teacher I would want my students to respect me and like me (they wouldn't have to love me), but, I wouldn't want them to listen to me based on fear alone. JMHO.

I want to be loved. I don't want people to shake around me or run and I hide.

I'm not sure I know anyone who would rather be feared than loved.

As a high school teacher I have to agree. With everyone else in my personal life, loved.
