I got my shoes, bm's shoes, invitations, pashmina shawls for bms, check out www.shawlsetc.com...the boutique is in Forest Hills, Queens. I went there and she charged me $5 less than if I ordered them online. Only $20 a piece, and they are a nice sized faux pashmina.

I haven't looked yet. Yikes! I still need flowers, videographer/photographer. I have an appt. this week with florist. I ordered a veil from EBay this week for only $9. I figured if it looks hideous, I can always use it for my bachelorette party veil! Are any of you having out of town Guests? If so, did you block any rooms?

I am blocking rooms at the Fox Hollow Inn...since I am getting married next door. They told me that we are not responsible for the rooms if people don't book them. I laso called the Holiday Inn in Rockville Centre today (incidently and they told me that if the rooms are booked a month before our wedding, we are responsible. Does that mean that we have to pay for the unused rooms? Now that I think about this, I might call them back and cancel.

JuJu, I blocked rooms at the Huntington Hilton over a year ago. You better get in gear girl. Hurry if your going to block rooms. My friend went five months before her wedding to block rooms and they were filled. They ended up settling for a cheesy inn.
I haven't really gotten to much done lately, I guess you you say I am on a wedding vacation. But I came back last night to start designing the favor tags for our wine bottles.
OH and my invitations are in. I am supposed to go today to pick them up.

Boop, you must of been on a mini vacation because you have a lot done! Did you do the mini wine favors? I am doing that too but, I haven't ordered them. Who did you go with? Could FM the info? Thanks

Wine bottles we are going to do ourselves. Nobody we went to really had the mini wine I wanted. Most of them only had mini champagne. So my mom and I were looking around and we found mini wine bottles that come in packs of four. We are going to buy them, wrap them in tulle and tie a personalized ribbon around them with a tag on them thanking everyone for coming. I am trying to come up with a saying to put on the tags to let everyone know how much we appreciate them being there. But I can't come up with one. Any ideas? I posted onBHB to try and get some help with sayings.

Brides did any of you or do you plan to get wedding insurance? If so, who are you using? I heard of wedsafe.

I haven't had a chance to look into it yet. But I am going to suggest it to my mother. She is sorta freaking out that we are getting married in February. She thinks we are going to have a blizzard.

Hilton doesn't provide a shuttle, so I rented one by MONSEY TOURS for $600. It's a 57 passenger that will p/u everyone at the HIlton at 5.30, drop off at JA's, p/u at JA's at 12am and drop off at HH.

I DID FREAK OUT, I AM FREAKING OUT AND I WILL BEE FREAKING OUT FOR THE NEXT FIVE MONTHS!!!

And don't anybody tell me not to freak out. I wanted a winter wedding, yeah, with a little snow would be nice. But not the crazy snow they are calling for. So, I will freak out until my wedding is over.

Plus, not only is this weather going to screw up my wedding, but our honeymoon. We are driving out to California and Nevada. So everything will be messed up if we get what they are calling for.

I am keeping my fingers permanently crossed from now til February 7th.

I'm with you! I'll be freaking out unitl the 15. I never wanted a February wedding. It's all due to my FI's business that we're doing it then. I CAN'T TAKE THIS!!!!

I hear ya there. Because of my FH's job and the fact he wouldn't wear a tux in the summer, we are getting married in February. I don't mind, I like February. But if the weather ruins our wedding, he is in BIG TROUBLE!!!!!
