I've been having problems with my manager's supervisor. Seems everytime he passes by my desk, Im not doing something right. He always finds something to pick on. I've complained in the past, so its no secret that there is a problem. Last week he picked on me yet again, and now my boss is saying that Im reading into it too much. Whatever. So now my boss wrote me and email saying the took the matter into consideration and began to list how I can improve on my job performance. Hello? How is my problem with his boss come back to me not doing my job. Ugh!!! I really feel like quitting, but with the wedding and all.........I just cant. I seriously dont know what to do!!!

Since its your boss's boss, he is probably considered upper management. Unfortunately the only thing you can do is either quit... or grin and bear it.

You hit it right on the head. There aint $h!t I can do about it, but gripe!!! Then stupid me, Im putting in an extra hour because they asked me to. I've been smoke free for 8 months, but Im buying a pack tonight!!!!

Bah thats silly to go out and buy a pack if you have been smoke-free for eight months. Why let a crappy manager start to get into your personal life... which is what he would be doing if you did that.
Do something better... how bout treat yourself to a nice ice cream sundae after work! I hear its hot as hell out today.

I know many people will disagree with me because cigarettes are a stimulant. But they relax me which is what I really need right now. Good looking out though. I appreciate it!! And it makes me feel a little bit better knowing that someone out there know EXACTLY how I feel!!

No prob! Believe me... my girl comes home with a lot of the same stories. Her latest gripe is they never approve her vacation days she puts in. I'm like... if they never approve your vacation... when do they expect you to take them? LOL
Makes me wonder what they will say when she has to put in a full WEEK for a wedding. Unbelieveable.

I have the same problem being approved for vacation days. My boss will find any excuse to say the office is too busy for me to take off!
divabride, start looking for another job ASAP. From what I have seen in places I have worked, it will only get worse (likely your boss will write on your performance program or yearly evaluation that you are not up to par, if only to agree with his supervisor and stay in his good graces). You want to get out before you get fired and have a permanent mark on your work history. Good luck! Work sucks!
