Feedback on Bridal Suite of Patchogue

I had an amazing experience when I ordered the dress and paid the deposit. Since then it has been nothing but stress. The person I dealt with is no longer working there and I have this woman who is one sandwich shy of a picnic basket helping me and I am just not happy. I was wondering if anyone had similiar experiences and how you dealt with them. Thanks!

Hi Pam,

I hate to say this, but a lot of girls had bad experiences with Bridal Suite.

FM Swags1016. She'll tell you all about her experience.

Good luck!!!

I had a VERY SHORT experience with them..THEY WERE OF NO HELP!!!! I was their for almost 10 mintes.....even wandering around to find a bathroom. I kept passing (what I learned were workers) and not once did they ask if I needed help. Finally we helpd ourselves to BM dresses to try on,,,AGAIN NO HELP. I asked if they had a particular wedding dress, she said 'I have never heard of it before' WHAT????? I told her it was from that season's line, and they carried the designer..She would not even look. Did not help us with BM dresses, so we left!

But not before we saw another bride freaking because they could not find her accessories.

Re: Feedback on Bridal Suite of Patchogue

My friend ordered her gown, headpiece and veils there. She was so happy with the experience until she went in to try it on. That is when the problems started. The women there were not nice, they always had problems finding her items when she came in. She complained to the owner and the owner said that only she would be helping her from now on. Well the service was no better after that so she paid off her dress, headpiece and veils (6 months in advance) and took the dress next door to Paradise Bridal for her alterations (that is where she got her BM's dresses). I have heard similar stories from different brides too.

My friend is getting married the 2nd week of December and her dress is still not in... And they can't give her a date of when it is coming yet.

Re: Feedback on Bridal Suite of Patchogue

This is totally scaring me!!

I ordered my dress there a couple of weeks ago for my February 21st wedding!! We just got engaged in September, and are getting married fairly quickly. When I asked about the delivery date, they assured me it would be in in time...I'm just hoping nothing goes wrong!!

Someone please reassure me that they've had at least one good experience there!!

After we ordered it I saw if for about $300 less on bridesave.com. WE had 24 hours to cancel the order, but in the end I decided that it would be better if a shop was liable for the dress, instead of ordering it on the internet.

I ordered my gown from them in August. I to have heard the many horror stories about the salon. (After I ordered my dress of course). I had a wonderful experience with them when I first ordered my dress. I firmly believe that every salon has their good and bad stories. Just keep on top of them and check in periodically. Unfortunalty, I think there is nothing much to do until the gown is ordered except wait! But I feel your pain

I went there and they were rude.

I went to the bridal suite in centereach and they were nice and a big help. I decided on the BayShore bridal suite. They were so nice, and I also found my dress there. They have been a pleasure to deal with.

I also had a very bad experience with them. You can FM me for specific info, but let me give you a piece of advice...if you have ordered anything from them, you must keep on top of them about it!!!

Edited to add: You can also do a search of my posts around 10/01 (if you can go back that far) to read my experiences!

112903--
It sounds like they did to your friend what they did to me. Please check your FM!

Pam and anyone else if you order ANYTHING from there get it in writing, get a confirmation that the order was made and any and I mean ANY promise they make to you get it in writing. Their mistake with me cost them a lot of money. My only regret was not being able to shut the shop down!!!

Pam--
If you need anything please let me know. The health problems alone this woman caused me is enough reason for me to go and visit with you!!!

Is Lee the one that left????

Re: Feedback on Bridal Suite of Patchogue

I got my Tiara from them, but after I heard about Swag's horror story, I was SO nervous about my order getting messed up, or not coming in.

Thankfully, the tiara did come in as promised. But I called them a few times after I ordered it to confirm the order and the delivery date.

Every time I went in there, including the time I picked up the tiara, there was someone yelling and arguing with them about money, dresses, deliveries, contracts, etc.

The day I picked up my tiara, a girl and her mother were in there making a scene because they put a deposit on a prom dress and were there to pick it up, only to find out that they SOLD it to someone else!!!

I got my dress next door at Paradise Bridal, and they were FANTASTIC.

Re: Feedback on Bridal Suite of Patchogue

Maybe I am one of the minority, but I had a great experience there....they were super nice and caring, and went the extra mile to make me feel completely comfortable....I ordered my dress there..just like my MOH did when she got married and 3 of my cousins did, and they all had no problems with the dress arriving or the alterations....

Mind you, I cannot say much more since its just been ordered, and I do not know the end result yet..bt I did get everyting in writing in my signed contract, so I am having some confidence in them..

On the Other Hand, I went Next door to paradise bridal and teh lady there was soo plain rude and mean I did not even try dresses on there...

Holly,

They were wonderful when I ordered from them too. It was when the dresses came in or were supposed to come in, is when the problems started.

Re: Feedback on Bridal Suite of Patchogue

Jamie,

I read all your posts about them...and the horrors you went thru....that was horrible what you had to go through. I am so sorry for all the pain they caused you. I just will wait it out and see....Nobody else had THE DRESS for the right price...Paradise Bridal charged 177 More....YIKES! I did request the same lady that my MOH and my cousins have used, and I have confidence in her.....

As for Bea...IO met her too, and she is phony and snubbed me...so SCrew her...but Carol was an ultimate Doll...

When should I call to get the written confirmation it has been ordered?

I just hope it all comes through...as I have no backup...if I have no dress, I have my veil, tiara, shoes, slip and my birthday suit!!!

Re: Feedback on Bridal Suite of Patchogue

I went there once with my friend, and a sales lady started a fight with her saying that she was her originial sales lady and the lady who helped her find her dress shouldn't be getting commission. The sales lady turned around to me and said Yes you were here the first time w/friend I remember you. I told her I was never to that store she has me confused . Well that lady got so mad and said to my friend, I am going to take this up with the other sales person. I thought that was so unprofessional... I was shocked to see this.
