feel stupid but i have to ask....

how did you or will you shop for BM dresses???? am i supposed to find pictures of dresses i like and then send them to my bms to decide??? or do we all go to the bridal shop together and just try on a bunch???? sorry for the dumb question but i just need some suggestions on what worked for you guys??????

i think you should look through pics to get an idea of silouhettes and designers you like, but when it comes time to shop for bm dresses do NOT bring all of them!!!! there is no way that you can get 5 girls (or however many you have) to agree on one dress cut, color, designer whatever! i would only bring 1 or 2 girls (2 bms, or your mom and bm) to make the decision and then pass the info to the rest of your bp

thank you...these suggestions make more sense than what i had in mind ...im gonna start by ordering catalogs and then i'll bring my MOH to help me decide which dress is best

My sister and I went first, just tried on everything we liked, kind of got a feel for what we wanted. Then my mother, sister and I went to the place I wanted to order them out and we narrowed it down to 3 dresses. Finally, I took all my bm's back and got their feedback, eventually we decided on the one.

I work in a bridal salon so I figured i would give some advice.

Checking out designers and styles that you like is a great thing to do especially if you go to a store that has a large selection of dresses. I also strongly suggest not bringing more than one or two people with you. Too many cooks in the kitchen is not a good thing and it makes it very difficult for the bride to pick what SHE likes. I always tell brides that alhough the BMs need to wear the dresses, the bride has to look at them in pictures forever. The bride should surround herself in colors, styles that she loves becasue she will be happy and look her best!

yeah i see your point...i always thought i wanted my bridesmaids to choose the dresses they liked best but i do see now that i'm the one that has to look at the pictures forever ofcourse i want them to like what they are wearing and also feel comfortable....so i will start looking with my bm, narrow it down to a few and then have the other girls vote on which one they like best out of the ones that i chose thanks again all

I showed them a bunch of pics I liked and got there opionions but ultimately it is going to be my decision but of course i am going to pick a dress that looks best on all of them

I have been looking online at different ones I like and I am gonna bring my 2 MOH and 1 BM to see the dresses and have them try it on. Then decide which we all like the best

i have been doing some research online...i am gonna find a few things i like and then try to pick a day where some of the girls can come try stuff on and we can see what i like best and what they are most comfortable in.

I've been looking on line at dresses that i like. When i go pick them out, I will be taking 1 BM and my jr BM (she is 12, so I want to see if the adult dresses will fit her), and my mom. They will just try on dresses and see what looks best on them.
