I TOTALLY AGREE, Phyl!! It's driving me CRAZY....

And, I'm w/o a car today, so it's even worse...the idea that even if I wanted to leave, I can't.

I am SOOOOOOO ready for Spring!!!

We just got back from Ireland on Sat. And it was so warm so Patrick was running outside the whole time!! And now this!! YUCK!!

Re: feeling a bit of cabin/baby fever

I totally understand. It seems the only time I take the baby out lately is to see a doctor. I left her with my husband for one hour last night to go to the library and CVS. He could not believe how excited I was to get out just to do errands. We are supposed to see our families this weekend for birthday parties. It is supposed to snow so I would be stuck in again if it were not for these commitments.
Annalise had a followup with the surgeon yesterday for her burns. They are healing nicely. BUT- If it's not one thing, it's another. She has been congested and has been having problems sleeping at night because of it. That is the other reason I have not gone out. She seemed to develop this on Monday, two days after being at the dr.'s office and the ER full of germs. I mentioned this to the surgeon and she said she may have a touch of the croup too!

Re: feeling a bit of cabin/baby fever

hey ladies.
I have these days when I need to get out. but lately I look forward to staying in because sometimes, I pack my days with so many things to do, that I need a break !
-I joined the moms club - theyre always up to something, and I havent done something with them in like 2 weeks. (phyl-look into it, great gals!)
-I started grad school - just one class for now but will keep me busy plenty.
-I work out in the morning and take the baby with me. they have babysitting in the next room. he loves it. just an hour and i can hear him cry, should he cry, thats how close it is. literally next room.
-I try to make little errand runs with him to the grocery stores, and just 'fun shopping' hes great being out. never whines or cries. He loves to look around, observe his surroundings and smile at everyone.
-when DH is home, i try to get little things done that are faster to do alone.

Get the kids out, fresh air is good for them !

(well Julianne is still too little...I would wait for the 2 month mark)

edited to add:
Phyl - I guarantee that there is an ODD JOB, Mace's or 99 cent store somewhere within at least 5 miles ! I've seen several in my past few jobs (and near home) on Long Island ! do a little search on yahoo. I just happened to find a big 99cent store nearby yesterday ! very exciting !!
(even though I usually by useless junk at these stores !! yesterday I bought binders for school. refuse to pay $5 at staples, got even nicer ones for $1 each !) where do you live ? I remember seeing one in Babylon on the south shore(when I worked near there). HUGE (oddjob).

odd job/ 99 cent

there actually is a 99 cent store here in LB but it is very lame.
will do ther seach thing. There is an idd job near a home depot- dont know what town that is- but it is like 25 min away..too far to travel for a quick fix...esp w/ gas prices as they are.

There is a national liquidators near green acres mall but that is also 1/2 hour away. far to travel if I walk out empty handed...and I cant go into the mall with Julianne just yet...drs orders
