not paying for my bridesmaids hair or makeup. I know a lot of brides do not, but alot of the girls seem to have assumed that I will have a hair and makeup lady there to do them up at no cost to them.
I would love to be able to pay for this but its just not in the budget.

I had absolutely no intentions on paying for their hair and makeup, which is why I made it optional for them to come to my salon. My mom surprised all the girls though and paid for everyone who came to the salon with us

i feel the same way sometimes
i gave one of my BMs money towards her dress, because she was going through A LOT (her father passed, losing both houses, her job closed, bad car accident)... and we agreed to keep it between us... well she told my MOH, who hasn't told me, but told someone else that she knew... and my moh will say she's broke all the time.. and i feel bad about it, considering she paid for my shower and extra sash for her dress.... but the $ I gave my BM totally messed me up for a few weeks.

I have friends coming over and helping with hair and make up. really the only cheap thing i'm doing. see if you have friends that aren't in the bridal party wanna help?

That's why I told them it was optional. If they wanted to get it done by my people, great. If not they could get it done anywhere or not at all.

I wish I could offer too, but on the other hand, I know one day when I'm in BPs, I wouldn't expect the bride to pay for me. I made it optional for my girls to get all that done, so it's not a pressure on them to have to pay.

I felt a little bad about not paying for their hair and makeup, but then I remembered back to all of their weddings, and at none of them did my friends offer to pay for these items.
I will say I feel hair is more important than makeup. And if one of your BMs is good at putting on makeup she can help the others.
