Feeling a little blue today

Between getting laid off last week and Grandma passing this week, I am feeling kind of blue today. DH is at a study group for his grad classes and my parents already left for Ohio for the memorial service (Monday)

I am home alone and feeling really sad and low and I am trying so hard not to, but I can't find the strength.

I am also dreading this memorial service because my mom was a wreck yesterday and I can't even imagine how she will be Monday and how overwhelming this whole thing is going to be.

Thank you so much, all of you. I am very lucky to have all of you.

I was also very lucky to have a friend stop by (our best man, the guy who introduced me and DH).

Now DH is home and the three of us are going to grab something to eat and drink.

I am keeping my chin up. I know that my grandmother was a strong woman who wouldn't be happy if she thought I was spending my Saturday night crying. I truly believe she was ready to go and if she could have spoken in the last 2 months, she would have told us that it is time for the next generation to step up. It is time for her children to be in-laws and grandparents.

I will miss her, but I can't let her down. I must not let her wisdom go to waste.
