I am feeling very sad.. MNy grandmother who is 81 and have been active and all with it fell a couple of weeks ago and almost died if my paretns were not there....She had a heart attack in her sleep and is now in an ICU in a hospital in florida. She is awake but everyday it is something different. She has poor kidney functions becasue of her heart.. she was in the process of getting all her teeth replaced before this happened and nw she has no teeth becasue she has not been able to get back to the Dr. So my mom called me today and says that i have to come down to see her.. she has told my sister that she just wants to die...I know everyone says she has a lived a full life and has grandchildren and great grandchildren.. Am I so wrong becasue i am so not ready to say good bye to her. I hope she will rebound out of this but i know she will never be the same.. I just have that feeling. I just wanted to get some of this off my chest.. I am actually leaving for lorida on Tuesday... si hopefully i will come back with some better news...

I am so sorry about your grandmother. I hope she recovers, it is so hard to say goodbye to people we love and can never be ready for it.

I am so sorry Jenn Prayers for Grandma that she feels better and finds the strength to pull out of this situation. I have a Grandmother who is giving up too, so I know where you are coming from. You get comfortable with the idea they'll be around forever and can't imagine anything being anything different.

You are totally right for feeling sad. Death is never easy and it's even worse to watch someone give up. We feel selfish for wanting to keep them here with us but it is just because we love them so.

Here is an update.. for every good day she has she has anotherone... she was alert this morning with trouble breathing.. and at about 4 pm she went into cardia arrest and now is on a resperator.. so we are just now waiting.. my Dh is leaving tomm and he might get stuck becasue of the snow.. i really do not want him to go.. i need him.. but i know he needs to go to work... I am just so glad to have the ababy with me.. i am just really nervous to be flying eith the baby by myself wehn i go home....hopefully this will just have an end soon
