So I know what the torture of waiting and not getting RSVP cards, which is why I am so upset that I lost one. Actually DH lost one. He couldn't wait to send it back so he took the card out of the Invitation and handed it to me when I was buried in my proofs... meanwhile I have a system for mail and things like that and his impatience screwed me up. Now I can't find the stupid thing anywhere. I think he was afraid I would say no if he didn't get me to do it quickly without thinking it through because its the wedding of a distant friend who we have only known a year... they came to our wedding, though I was shocked when FH invited them, but its a holiday weekend when I go away with my family and we will know two people at the wedding. But thats not the point, the point is we are going and I can't properly RSVP and am going to have to be one of those people I bitched about. Why couldn't he have just left it in the invitation where I could have taken it and filled it out?
why not send them a blank card stating that you'll attend with both your names and sorry you lost the rsvp. That way they will have it on paper. Thats what I would do....

Re: Feeling bad about RSVP card....
Yup I agree. I think it's less about having the actual card back, than having something to keep track, organize etc.. just send a replacement card with a little note. . that's fine!

I agree with the above posts...
Any mailed response is fine! I'm sure the bride will be happy you responded!
I received a response via facebook!

Great idea girls... only problem, I don't have their address. And neither does DH. But I guess I can hand deliver it to him at the marina (the groom runs) at the shore next time we go down.
