Feeling guilty

hey girls, i know this may sound crazy but i am feeling guilty. I called out sick from work. i truly am sick i have this cold, with upset stomach, runny nose, cough, achy body and diarrhea. i work nights and i went in last nite.. barely made it. I am a RN and didnt think it would be right for me to go in sick.. not fair to the patients. well reason i feel guilty is because we are only allowed to call out 3 times in 90 days then we get written up. i called out the first time when my mom was being discharged home after the brain hemmorhage to help her settle and make sure she was ok and then tonight. im crazy i know. thanks for reading.. now if i could only stop sneezing..

I am the same way I always feel guilty b/c i feel they cant do what is supposed to be done without me sounds crazy i know but i totally understand but the important thing is especially being an RN you have to be well there is alot that you have to do mentally hope you get better soon

I understand I feel guilty when I call out from work too (even when I'm sick) BUT you shouldn't feel bad... you have a cold and you would want to spread it to the patients so you did a good deed. Feel Better

THATS UNDERSTANDABLE . ESPECIALLY PEOPLE WHO ENJOY OR TAKE PRIDE N WHAT THEY DO .. BUT HEY THINGS HAPPEN.. FEEL BETTER .. OK

I know how you feel because I hate calling out sick as well. But as someone who also works in the health industry (for at least another month that is) I think you did the right thing.
